Human cognition ultimately emerges from sophisticated computations performed by networks of neurons. At the Redwood Center for Theoretical Neuroscience with Mike DeWeese, I use and develop tools from theoretical physics to investigate how our brains make sense of and respond to our dynamic environments. Theoretical neuroscience forms one part of my overall mission to better understand human biology and pathology through quantitative analysis.
